Google lucra mais com iOS do que com Android
O Google lucra mais com o iOS do que com o Android. Pelo menos é isso que aponta um estudo do consultor Horace Dediu, daAsymco.
O Android gerou mais de US$ 550 milhões em receita para oGoogle entre 2008 e 2011. No mesmo período, a receita obtida com o uso de produtosGoogle em dispositivos iOS foi quatro vezes superior.
Ou seja, por mais que o Android esteja em mais dispositivos do que o iOS, é a plataforma da Apple a principal responsável pelos lucros do Google, e não o sistema próprio criado pela empresa.
O motivo é simples. No iPhone, o Google é o sistema padrão de buscas. Serviços como o Google Maps também estão presentes nos dispositivos da Apple, e, assim, a empresa consegue lucrar com a publicidade em seus softwares, assim como qualquer anuncio dos AdWords presente em sites acessados pelo Safari no iPhone.
